January 2. National Cream Puff Day

There are actually 2 for today. It's National Buffet day and National Cream Puff day. But since we just ate a "buffet" for New Years, then I think i'm going to skip the buffet part and just make the cream puffs.

A Profiterole, or Cream Puff, is a pastry ball filled with whipped cream, pastry cream, or ice cream. They may be left plain or dipped in or drizzled with caramel, chocolate sauce, or just dusted with powdered sugar.

I, personally like them better dipped in chocolate. but I'm making it a little bit easier on myself today and just drizzling some chocolate sauce on them.

these didn't last very long....they were gone before I could even blink! guess they were good!
