February 8. National Molasses bar day.

Molasses bars kinda taste like gingerbread. So if you like gingerbread and gingerbread cookies,
you are for sure going to love these.

ingredients:
1/2 cup (1 stick) softened butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup molasses
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ginger
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup hot coffee
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp baking soda

- Preheat oven to 350F.
- Grease and flour a 9-inch square baking pan.
- Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Add egg and beat well.
- Add molasses.
- Sift flour together with the baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, and salt.
- Alternately add coffee and flour mixture.
- Spread batter evenly into baking pan.
- Bake for about 25 minutes.
- Mix together a cup of confectioners sugar, 1 tbsp of milk, and 1/2 tsp vanilla extract for the glaze.
- Let it completely cool and then you can either cut it and then glaze it, or glaze and then cut.

I couldn't find any of my square pans so I just used one of the round ones instead.

They rose a little bit higher than usual 'cause I used a smaller pan but they were still nice and moist so it's all good!

Putting the icing on them.

Go and try to make these! They're good!
